Tentsmuir Nature Reserve

On the 3rd January as part of the Adventure Program there will be a short item about Tentsmuir. This is a reserve in Fife, Scotland where my brother in law (and WAB member) is the Warden. The item is taken from a tv film made about the site last year. Happy viewing.

6pm BBC2 Scotland 3rd Jan 2007

Jaki

PS If you arent in scotland I believe you can see it on sky!

Re: Tentsmuir Nature Reserve

I will be watching. Having spent 6 years living at Leuchars, Tentsmuir forest and sands are beautiful, many happy hours jogging through/over them and the dogs loved it as well. Great to see the seals on the sands. Happy days.

Thanks for the thread.

Re: Tentsmuir Nature Reserve

I've visited Tentsmuir regularly with my Dad and it is a wonderful reserve with lots to see at all time of the year. I live on the other side of the Tay near Perth, so whenever my Mum and sister go shopping in Dundee for a change we usually pay it a visit

Re: Tentsmuir Nature Reserve

Hi Jaki, I will do its coincidence because I've met Tom many times as he knows my Dad(who also works for SNH). He's a lovely chap, the only problem with him is that he supports Raith Rovers instead of St Johnstone lol!!

Re: Tentsmuir Nature Reserve

Well Fergus and Jaki

My wife supports the mighty Raith Rovers as well .

Hope you all enjoy the little article on Tentsmuir NNR, its kindae embarrassing now looking at the film.
Gordon Buchanan was the interviewer and seal cameraman and we had some fun and laughs doing the filming. Keith Partridge was the main cameraman and one of the highlights was getting up in a helicopter flying over the Reserve and looking back at the Reserve from the sea was something really special. Richard amd Margaret were the wonderful production team - top class.

Both these guys have filmed all over the world, Big Cat diary etc.

PS Its Reserve Manager now, wardens are old guys
