| | | Re: My new years resolution is ... .....its a health kick for me too - esp as I am laid up with flu as we speak - I'm supposed to be in bed nursing my temperature - but husband has gone out with camera (he did stay home and look after me yesterday sos I can't complain - except he has gone chasing kingfishers.....) so I am downstairs wrapped up in all sorts of clothing and heating on full blast. Must say I'm not impressed by getting ill on New Years Eve - if this is how 2007 is going to be then roll on 2008 I shall think positively and resolve to eat no rubbish, get lighter and fitter - and get out more with the camera

PS I'm smiling at how the 'forest' of 100-400 lenses is growing!! Can you imagine us all together in one place?!! |

| | | Re: My new years resolution is ... Mine has to be to open my eyes whilst I'm out and about..I've already broken it! Yesterday we were at Thorsby Park, when I saw a Kingfisher fly down a small stream. I thought , oh well, yet another one missed. I was walking down the way the bird went, when I saw a woman on the opposite side looking at the trees directly by me. I never for a second wondered why she was looking at the tree, (duh, dumb or what?) I continued, only to hear the squeal of the Kingfisher as it flew off. It had been perched directly over my head!! What a missed opportunity..I nearly threw my camera into the steam!! |

Mine is to try and get out with the camera a bit more often, always seems to be a reason at the weekend to do something else.

| | | Re: My new years resolution is ... Recycling takes you over, Gill. My son and I are obsessed! We have a bin for plastics, one for tins, one for paper, one for cardboard, one for glass, one for compost, one for ggarden rubbish, one for rags, one for clothes. But our dustbin contains nothing but clingfilm and selophane wrappers, polystyrene trays, and bones, which I don't compost because of the dog. And waxed fruit juice and smoothie cartons. So it's very satisfying.

Seek patent before showing it Tinkerbell... costly but if it is ripped off you wont be a happy tink. Like BW I lost out on an invention because someone saw it and used it ahead of me.

| | | Re: My new years resolution is ... I agree with Jaki, Tinkerbell. Patents cost, but worth it if you know what you have is good. Or at least lodge plans with solicitor. I don't know if that would help any fight with competitors.

We changed to them a few months back. They charge the same as your local existing supplier and the changeover can be done online in 5 minutes. Worth checking them out. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
