| | | Re: update for this year Wishing everyone a very merry xmas and a Happy New year.I have re-opened this thread to give all of you who know about my grandaughter Alycia.Last year we all went to Disneyland paid for by the people in my daughters home town of West Molesley Surrey.Money was raised to send her to Disney World as she is terminally ill.Last year she was given 6 months to year to live and we thought last year was her last birthday in November and her last xmas.Since then she has been going to see lots of shows and meetings with all her favourite characters and people from her favourite childrens shows and has had a whale of a time this last year.I am glad to say she has just passed her 11th Birthday and is still with us for xmas. She somehow managed to fracture 2 bones in her foot which no one realised and she went to school with no complaints but someone noticed her limping. She is supposed to rest it and wear a support bandage but Alycia has her own ideas on that She took the bandage off and goes where she likes Apart from getting very breathless when she over does things but she still keeps going. She has a few minutes of oxygen then off she goes to do her own thing. She is so brave and such a fighter. We know we will lose her one day but she will leave a lasting happy memory of the fighting happy child we all love to bits.
So I hope you all have a very merry xmas and enjoy every minute of it with family around you and I pray all those who have life threatening illnesses in this world also enjoy Christmas as much as we will while they are still here |

| | | Re: ta ta for now Thanks for your good wishes.I am going to my eldest daughters for xmas dinner and my Alycias mum(my second daughter) has just suggested the whole family go to hers for xmas night as she has a house in Exmouth where she comes down in the Holidays. It is bigger than mine and has sky in all the rooms so plenty of room for all 11 grandchildren 5 daughters and there partners.I am dead chuffed.Just sliced all my cold meats fro xmas cold supper so all I have to do is take it down there with the tree presents we have xmas evening.Over the moon as there isnt room to swing a cat in mine when they are all here
Easiest chrismas I am going to have whoopeeeee She doesnt drink so will be able to run us all home again after.Got to go now and make my coleslaw that they all like and my dads version of Baileys.Glad he told me how to make it as he is no longer with us now.The second year without him so the home made Baileys reminds us all he is still with us Merry Chrismas one and all | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
