| | | Back from the hardest three weeks of my life Hi Guys
Well I am back from the hardest three weeks of my life.
I thought military basic training was tough.
A big thanks to all of you that helped me with the acrostics. I scored 98, 99 and 96.5 in my examinations and graduated this morning, leaving Paris at 1 this afternoon, so I can now get out and apply my new trade.
The course was extremely tough - up studying til 2 some evenings and then hard at it again at 5.30 a.m but it was well worth the effort. I met some friends for life - 1 Israeli, 2 Egyptians, 1 Dutch, 2 Swiss, 2 Ozzies and two other English, all on my course and all of whom passed. A few tears along the way and a few beers last night.
Glad to be back in Blighty anmd glad to see the numbers have swelled.
Hope you are all well and thanks again

| | | Re: Back from the hardest three weeks of my life Thanks very much, its good to be back.
For the record my diploma states that I am now trained to provide verbal technical assistance in the Operating room and to conduct labaratory training programs, lectures and seminars in the use of surgical healthcare products having covered a training program covering anatomy, physiology, surgical terminology, aseptic technique and scrubbing. The pass marks were 90, 90 and 95 percent respectively, so all of my late nights paid off and the acrostics hepled me to identify vital organs, ligaments and the like, so
they were very much appreciated when I was faced with a diagram of the digestive system and had to identify all of the parts.
Having spent 3 weeks in very tough conditions, with very strict controls and absolutely no room for error its a relief to have passed and I now feel very previleged to be in a position whereby I can help in Operating rooms and ensure that patients receive the best care utilising the best tools in the market. These guys (surgeons) are genius and I look at them awe inspired with the utmost respect.
I am very proud and consider to have one of the best jobs in the world, so thanks again guys. You have helped me to realise a potential that a few months ago I would have thought was impossible. |
