If you really want to cheer me up, tell me that Xmas has been cancelled ....... | Is ok honest.Wasnt having a pop at you thats why I had lots of smileys Now how can you cancel Xmas.I have 5 daughters there partners and 11 grandchildren whisch decend on me at xmas( mind you 4 daughters live nearby)It is stressful gets heated at times,I panic cos everything is cooked except thespuds which for some reason dont cook on time at xmas when they do other times of the year,I cant move for kids, wrapping paper, dogs and anything else that decides to get under my feet.I cry ,I laugh, I havent got a big enough house, tables to small so adults sat in chairs with dinner on their laps. Not enough batteries for the toys or inevitably a toy wont work as its faulty. But just to look at the childrens happy little faces unwrapping their gifts makes it all worth while and of course with the littler ones they are usually playing inside large boxes with the wrapping paper and the toy tossed aside, thats waht Xmas means to me.That part makes up for all the stress and when they have all gone home I can clean up pour a homemade baileys (my dads recipe) put my feet up with my new slippers and enjoy the peace at last.MERRY XMAS EVERYBODY

Your Xmas sounds worse than mine - I've only got twelve to cook for this year. If I had my way I'd curl up with the Baileys next week and stay hidden until New Year's Eve!
... and I'll bet I don't get new slippers ..... Quote:

... and I'll bet I don't get new slippers ..... | Actually this year is going to be very different. My youngest daughter has invited me to hers with her partner and her 2 boys the other girls have also made arrangements and Penni with her 3 who live in Surrey will be at my eldest girls but they will all come up to mine in the evening for cold supper and my presents to them. Also I am off to Disneyland on Thursday with Penni and her 3 as our special girl Alycia is having a holiday dream come true all paid for by the people of West Molesey as she is terminally ill and her health is detiorating a lot.The people raised the funds in a very short time and it was only booked 2 weeks ago and it has been mad here with us having to fast track our passports as we dont have holidays. So this Xmas is going to be a very special one as I will be spending lots of time on the run up with the 3 kids in Disney world. It is going to be a magical time for us and the children. One I will remember for always just to see our angels little face in the magical world of Disney. The way people have taken Alycia to there hearts has been overwhelming I only wish the rest of the world was like it and we all cared for all life and the happier we would all be This is not a sad story it is a story of hope for mankind

| | | Re: Loads of Commas !!! Well you have *very* good reasons for making much of the season. Even miserable old grumps like me can wish you and yours a good time. I really hope all goes well.
And yes, we should all hope that people in general could be much better people.
Cheers, Paul Quote:
