Gloucestershire Winter Solstice Moot - Update

As the original thread was getting very long, here's a little update on Tinkerbell's very sensible advice.

Some of us are planning a get together at the Green Dragon Inn, in Cowley, Gloucestershire on the evening of the Winter Solstice (Friday 22nd December). It would be lovely to see anyone from WAB (+ friends/family) who are able to come along.

The plan is to get there at about 7pm if at all possible - as the Inn could get a bit busy that near to Christmas - for a few drinks and a chat. Earth Hart is planning a Yarn for us which should be fun.

Would love to see you if you can make it

So do I. I'm tap-dancing all over the place trying to sort it out, but as yet, nothing. Still, there's 12 days to go, hopefully the Gods will smile & someone will come forward with help. I've got "Merry Solstice" in the bag & it would be a shame to waste it as I've spent the best part of a month reading it so I could remember it, after all these years.

Re: Gloucestershire Winter Solstice Moot - Update

There are a lot of people who have expressed an interest but are finding it difficult to fit it in at this time of year. Another thing that has been worrying me is with all the Christmas parties etc and it only being a little place, will we even manage to get a table?

I think, perhaps it would be better if we postponed the Moot?

We could move it to the Spring Equinox instead. We don't have to cancel it altogether. I'm sure you could manage a good yarn for that one Will and maybe Beithe could come then too? If you hang on to "Merry Solstice" we could always try for the Winter Solstice 2007 as well

Would be a shame but might be for the best. Some time in the new year when it's gone a bit quieter. Would be a bit rubbish if you couldn't come EH as you kind of arranged it.

I think it's a good idea to cancle it, & rather than Spring Equinox, how about Imbolc, Friday 2nd February. It's also Full Moon. Let's see what come up.
Thanks honeybee my deer & you Owl-Light, many thanks for being there when I needed a chat.
