I recently got sent an email offering TV over the interweb. It was a one off £45 payment and you got loads of channels including Sky.

Does anyone know if this is legit, whether it works, and how quick a connection is needed?

Sounds too good to be true, therefore its probably dodgy.

Id have thought a legitimate deal of that nature would be in mainstream advertising rather than posted to random email addresses as spam.

Personally, I wouldnt entertain it.

There are services available, one notable one is all Premiership football being available on free to air on .cn (china) domains, and its possible to watch games via that service. As far as Im aware these arent illegal, but the viewer has to put up with chinese commentary (or no volume) and chinese writing in all the on screen graphics. The thing is here though, you dont have to pay anyone for the privilage.

Can you post the email headers? That will help in determining where the email actually originates etc.

Hi Boddie, I have seen such things advertised online before and have always felt they were too good to be true. They were much cheaper than the one you were sent. Some under a fiver! My feeling is that there will be a catch to the deal.
