But I've made a note of the various things ready for when it next throws a wobble. It must have resented the fact that we went away overnight and left it on its little lonesome and it didn't get to dial up and look a smashing pics on here. . .

Pauline | My Samsung Laser printer works fautlessly never has paper jams ..... unless I dare to leave the room for more than 5 seconds ..... I have warned it that the laws of gravity and the kitchen floor awaits, but at least it never beeps! |

Then there was a problem with the fan on the micrprocessor chip. I phoned the help line and they talked me through removing the fan and refitting it which did not solve the problem, so I had to return the PC. They would not allow me to use the orininal packaging it was delivered in and sent me new packaging. Again no delivery time so in the end I had the packaging sent to my office. Then I packaged up the base unit and again they would not give a collection time only a date so had to take it to work and leave it in reception for collection which took the couriers two attempts to get right. Simialr fiasco with return of "fixed" PC which is still not right

Well that makes me think twice about Dell. . . that really isn't convenient at all, with the shift and rota pattern I work I can't afford not to know when something is coming or going. Anyway fingers crossed its ok for the min. . . that plus the fact I've had my mad spend for a while now! Warehouse Express as good as their word - courier delivered to work this morning - Velbon CFPro 630 and Manfrotto big grip ball head. Haven't actually tried camera on it yet but very impressed with the combo - esp the left hand grip while right is on the camera - either shooting or panning or both. Hopefully it will allow me to get more pics per outing? Roll on Sunday!!

| | | Re: Writing on the wall . . . My laptop died last week-my world ended! Every time I tried to switch it on, it snarled at me. Now I'm a complete technophobe, but I deduced that was bad news.
I've got a new one, from Dell. Hope I get no problems having just read this thread. It came on the day they said, although a couple of hours after the time slot promised.
I'm very happy with it. It's a Latitude, and about the size of an evening bag! Fabulous for when we're on the road, weighs about one and a half kilos. Very comfortable to use, and the bit that does my head in-no phone line, just a router downstairs, and I can talk to the world. Oh, technology has so left me behind! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
