Photography and Poetry

Something I've been playing with for awhile after discovering the original name for a Kestrel is the Windhover

you will need to click on the image to get a larger version with text readable. The original file is 3600x2400 pixels

Re: Photography and Poetry

That can be done in Elements or CS2. It's a brillient Idea and would make a nice Christmas card or any type card. I make all my own cards. Thanks That's food for thought.

Re: Photography and Poetry

Yes your right of couse.
I normaly use CS2. which is insalled (by my son) in my other PC Also some of the work could be done in DTP and put together with a photo pkg. But it is a very good idea.I am going to make one or two for my personal friends who like wildlife.

Re: Photography and Poetry

Lovely Kev. That sort of thing can also be done in plain ol' Word. I did one very successfully for my mothers birthday last year using Westminster Bridge.. the poem and a pic.

Yeas and for those who can't write poetry, they could just put a few words or a little story of where and how they captured it on camera.

or they could use a quote , which is what kev has done here , "the windhover" being a relatively well known poem by gerard manley hopkins , written in the mid 1800s

Well. That is a good idea too as long as the poet is given credit
I Have a very nice photo of a Kinhgfisher sitting in the middle of the brook on a diagonaly poised cain , reflection as well, with a large fish in his beak and a super poem to go with it. Think I try that one.

Here is a post card I have made and sent to one or two of my friends. It is very easy and can be done with all sorts of wildlife photos.

Wow Beryl I got your postcard this morning. What a lovely surprise.I really like it looks very professional.I think I will find a little frame for that and put it somewhere on my desk(if I can find room it needs a thorough tidy up) Well done.I love the ripples on the water and the Kingfisher stands out well it is very pretty thank you
