| | | Making connections I wouldn't know where to start with this one but I wonder what members would come up with. I'm a member of several wildlife groups in Kent and noticed that they only have tenuous information about each other. I think it would be better if strong connections and shared information about each groups activities and findings would benefit and enhance the species that they are trying to protect. The Wildlife Trusts seem to cover an area, as a whole, but don't seem to develop the intimacy between groups needed to become one 'organism' if you like, that would strengthen their intentions to protect wildlife.
How would you organise such connections, or do you think that they work better singularly?
Julie

| | | Re: Making connections That’s a hard one Julie. I know some groups seem to be a bit ‘clannish’, and like to keep to themselves, but I don’t see why some ‘overlap’ couldn’t be applied.
All I can think of is contacting some of the groups as I’m sure some members crossover anyway. I wonder if you could approach some of them and ask if they’d give advice on your school project. That would at least be a start. I’m sure they may be interested if some publicity could be applied to the project, which could possibly publicize their groups and the role they played in it.
There’s a decided lack of groups up here, so to find even one that is of interest can be very difficult. If you’ve got a few in your area you’re lucky! | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
