Greenwing is a BAFTA winning tv comedy set in a hospital, Nightshade. I am looking forward to the Christmas special immensely.

Greenwing was recommended to me by a friend who is a Consultant. He said it was just like the hospital where he worked. He is a bit strange so I wouldn't be surprised. YouTube - green wing

Hope you've seen 'Sean of the Dead', hillarious. |

| | Re: Christmas Present Ideas I wasn't thinking of all-over protection! When I'm out walking on the moors in the winter it's my extermities that get cold so need hats gloves and socks (I'm not a penguin) *but* the rest of me can get overheated if I wear too many layers. I don't sit around looking at birds but wondered if the same thing applied to people in hides - might there not be some device to sit on or to slip down your trousers (or whatever)?
Perhaps I shouldn't ask questions like that? Quote: |

Perhaps I shouldn't ask questions like that? | I can see it now ... "Honest, officer, I was just sitting here watching the birds and I came over all over heated .."
I imagine if one wanted to be practical a thermos of hot water and a hotwater bottle would do the trick. Better than those clicky heat up handwarmer thingies.
And ta, Badgerwatcher, that is my usual hairdo. The straight one takes two hours and third degree burns to my scalp, this one takes 30 seconds. lol

Mine is more wavy trying to be curly but not really managing it so I resort to the iron often.
Mostly I find a hair band works best

That's my story and I'm sticking to it - I expect you and everyone else to back me up ...
"I'm just a soul whose intentions are good ....."
I think eeyore's sorted that one.
My usual advice to anyone taking a hike in deep midwinter on the moors is to take a small flask of hard liquor - it won't save your life but it will make you feel better about dieing ...
Okay, I'll make a serious suggestion which is 'maps' - I always enjoyed maps and atlases (before I got the set) and they are useful ... |

| | | Re: Christmas Present Ideas A rucksack with a hotwater bottle in it works quite well to keep your back warm, and can be sat on if you're careful! Also, I freeze bottles of mineral water in the summer, and they stay frozen for hours, providing a cold drink when you're out walking. A black silk balaclava is a present I wish I'd had years ago, light in the pocket, and useful if a cold wind strikes, or if you want to storm a embassy! Also very handy for taking photographs of sharp-eyed foxes through the window with all the lights on! As you see, I'm heavy on the glamour! | |
