sorry, wasn't trying to hijack your thread, my other half had just told me about it as he'd seen it in the paper today. 100 million yrs old and you can tell what it is, amazing. |

Interesting! So if the bee can’t reference the sun to indicate direction of food source etc in its dance, it uses a gravitational reference instead. I was wondering how they did this in the hive where they cant see the sun. I suspect it's more complicated than this though!
