driving in the dark this a.m. I reached a narrow twisty bit where the county engineers in their wisdom have allowed the broken lines for the road centre to fade away, so I had wind, rain, darkness, centreline, centerline, Badgers eyes, Ibraked hard and a Badger cub? and I sat looking at each other for a few moments then it shambled off over a bank and into a hedge,gone

Lucky escape. I've had a few close calls with Rabbits and the odd pheasant, but never a Badger.

It's a great shame that the only time that most people get to see Badgers is when they've been hit by a car and they're lying at the side of the road. Luckily yours will be able to go home and tell the rest in the sett about the importance of road safety
