Seeing as though I'm already in semi-seriousness mode, please don't make this thread too Heavy. We're happy to keep it running at the moment, but we are still a wildlife and environment site and the treehouse is only really for 'light-hearted' off-topic topics.
Thanks
Stu | Oh I didnt realise I thought we had a new Devonshire person on board. What a pity people feel the need to pretend to be someone else.I recommend loads of people to WAB who I meet on my walks lots have said they will take a look but havent noticed anymore from my area. What a pity would be nice to have WAB meets in Devon like you have in your areas.Oh well perhaps it will come one day We live in a beautiful county you all should come down here for a change |

No problem. You can at least see how things look a bit odd. We have the same IP records for both logins and our tracker had picked up a number of similarities. The problem with dual logins is that they obviously arouse suspicion and we've no idea if it is genuinely another member of the same family or someone trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
Apologies to lucyc, it's not normally so heavy on here, but threads on politics usually always take a strange path. I hope you won't mind that I removed your profile image, but we don't really want cigarette smoking on the site (sorry, that's another PC moment, but we're just trying to keep the site family-orientated).
Anyway, no harm done, I hope you can realise why Boddie and I got a bit suspicious. No multiple logins is one of the basic forum rules and it's only been put in place because we've had big problems with it in the past.
Finally, yep, as admin, I am able to read PMs using a mod on the forum. Apart from that, no-one else has access to read them.

mind you the point with the biz card i'm talking about is that they are proffesionally printed so all you have to do is stick them in your pocket.

| | | Re: Belittle Britain I don't think the PDF is on the site since I setup a new version of the reference area a month or two ago. I'll try dig it out and put it back up again. We were also looking at getting 20,000 bookmarks printed, but unfortunately it's just one of the many items that cost more than we've got at the moment

Stu | I'll send you the pdf for my cards as well stu , so that you can put that design up if you want. i wasnt saying that wab ought to pay for proffesional cards btw - i have paid for the 1000 that i have on order myself and am quite happy to share them with a few other members for the good of the site.

Admin access to PMs is a tool that exists on many forums and there would be an outcry if we didn't have it and something terrible happened. That said, only administrators have access to it and as other members know (sorry I will answer you soon ) I'm too busy to read my own PMs, never mind any others.
We keep all records in case something pings on the radar, but even then we'll only ever disclose it the relevant authorities and follow strict data protection laws.
So yep, we have access to all PMs, but I wouldn't worry unless you've done something you shouldn't have done...in which case we know everything .

Don't worry, I know you weren't asking us to pay for pro cards. Thanks for getting yours printed, it's really appreciated.
Cheers

Stu | Hi Stu
Absolutetly no harm done
Having trouble understanding your explanation regarding IP records for logins and dual logins? I do not live with my Dad, havn't for many years and certainly have nothing to do with his computer. Would you mind clarifying or am I just being completely computer illiterate!
No worries about the photo, I dont smoke anyway! It was just applied to make my Dad laugh as you will already know from reading the messages
Anyway, I am glad to be on board as this is such a great site. I can see all the members are lovely and I look foreward to getting to know them better.
Regards
Lucy |

The uncontrollable rise in viscious assalts-compared to Medieval England when people ran the risk of violent death when they travelled to the next village?
Drugs infiltrating our lives-mushrooms & other natural hallucinogens are a common feature in tribal cultures & have been linked with druidic and 'black magick' practices throughout our history. Even relatively recently the British fought China in the Opium Wars when they threatened to cut the supply.
My point being-take a step back, look at the long view & realise we haven't really changed much since the Dark Ages-our only major change? A disconnection from nature... Quote: |

I really like this forum and enjoy reading the posts but I think I will leave you lot to fight it out and I'll come back in a few weeks to see if you've settled down. I don't want to watch this end up in a flame war.
I have not seen anyone on here act like a troll - trolls wind people up just because they enjoy the friction it creates. All I can see is people with differing opinions, which is what makes life interesting.
