| | | Re: WAB Suffolk Get Together Anyone?? I'll have a think about where we could go if you like, Alton Water is supposed to be quite good, there's also Trimley Marshes, Lackford Lakes nr Bury St Edmunds and a host other sites.
Plenty of places to visit and a fair few watering holes near by as well.

Alton water is ok, I like their hide.
Trimley marshes is great but you need to enjoy a good walk. |

I believe it's a 2 km walk to the marsh hides. |

That would be my ideal meet.

I have booked that week off work and will be drifting around East Anglia throughout that week, stopping wherever I am at the end of the day and then birding from that point the next day.

I have a few busy weekends coming up (as the fireworks season approaches) but if I'm free, I'm in.

The Wildwood Centre in Kent could be another good one, plus of course there are numerous bird reserves etc , also although not british wildlife related there is a big cat breeding project near maidstone.
Moving slightly further north the UKwolf Trust near reading , Shuttleworth birds of prey centre near bedford , and Santago big cat project near WGC are all worth a look.
Moving further north and west still batsford arboretumn and the Cotswold falconry centre both at moreton in the marsh are well worth a visit at this time of year.

I hope you still have my number. I knackered my mobile and lost yours, along with many other contacts I had.
We are meeting up at 09:30am on the Titchwell car park.
Let us know if you can come. It would be good to meet up again.

I'm gonna be a bit tied up for a while but will definitely look to sorting something out later in the year or early in the New Year.

There are lots of good reserves we'll have to organise a good group trip next year down south, maybe do some chalk downland on an orchid hunt or maybe Cliffe pools in the late winter? Maybe both? |

I guess it all depends on what time of year and what we want to see.
