Re: WAB music!!

on the drum & bass front i still like Grooveriders - prototype years, wasnt to keen on his albums after that, think he thinks a bit too much of himself, i used to like ed rush & optical, wormhole imperticular and all of Photeks albums, sneaker pimps are great and PLUG (aka luke vibert) is also worth a listening. Most of Luke viberts other material is better though.

Fave record labels -

Ninja Tunes

Warp

Staalplat

Fax

Kompakt

Elektrolux

Minus

Plus 8

Interchill records

Perlon

Poker flat

Mille Plateauxe

F-communications

Missile

Zenit

Liquid Sound Design

all have some great artists assigned covering almost every genre of the electronic music scene, look ot for them : )

I think some genres of dance music are great (i.e some that are listed in my previous post)

If you buy one record this month make sure it is Back to Black by Amy Winehouse. Dont be put off by her looks, she has an incredible voice and her new album is fantastic

I've got that, it is great. I just wish she didn't swear all the time! I must be getting old.

Difficult to believe that is the same woman. She did look better with a little padding.

Mind you, most people look better when done up and posing for a photo than caught off guard on a bad day

Great album by Amy Winehouse, but her looks do nothing for me + I guess that would be reciprocated!

I have to agree with that Susie, but she looks terrible in the skinny pic... the woman has bruises on her legs.. tattoos on her arms... she doesnt even look clean whereas in the one in the dress although she has a bit of an odd posture she looks clean and wholesome.
I notice there is a tattoo on the inside of her arm in the dress pic.. and none in the other one.. are they real tattoos or those pretend ones i wonder? Other than the shape of her face it is difficult to say they are the same woman. Such a shame

Yep I think that you two guys (Peppermint and Onionade) have a great taste in music but then again you are into the decent underground dance genres and labels. I am happy for most peoples misunderstanding of dance music as it keeps the crowds away from the good parties. Nothing worse than a load of townies turning up at a wooded outdoor event or a drum and bass session in a quarry.

I have been into this scene since the heady days of Spiral Tribe and Circus Warp. I have been to dozens of free parties and never seen any aggro, so for me the fewer people that understand the Real Scene the better.

When I lived in Cheltenham I worked in the scene owning the UK's largest flyer distribution company. I worked with Fantasia, Mythology, Obsession, Raindance, Universe etc. Good times back in those days. Every day was a Saturday

Re: WAB music!!

My music taste varies at the moment from Kate Rusby, Beatles, Classic fm and Queen but it has to be LOUD. What makes me laugh is my kids are constantly telling me to turn my music down...maybe I should invest in headphones!

Re: WAB music!!

I bought (yes - bought! *Gasp) a CD yesterday.

Clutch - Robot Hive/Exodus

I saw then live on Nov 5th - they were supporting Motorhead - and I was impressed enough to go out and stick the plastic in the slot!

Re: WAB music!!

Another great CD is the Gotan Project. Its by no means a new record but I bet there are a number of people that have heard the tracks being used on adverts and wondered who it is and where they can get the music from
