The Green Dragon still hasn't given a price for the hire of the function room, it wants to know what service we need & whether we require food. So what do we want?
I know we want a bar. Do we want a buffet, sit-down meal etc. Check out Green Dragon Inn, Cowley, Gloucestershire
Let me know in the next 2 days please, so I can get a price from them & get the cheque in asap.

I suggest we keep the price as low as possible. I mean all we want to do is get together have a drink and a natter essentially isn't it? If we add other services it will price a few of us out of the picture I reckon. If all goes well and we want to meet up again we can plan meals etc for another ocasion.  |

I think I'll just tell them we just want the room & bar for 13 people. No extra service. Does that sound OK?

Just had email from Green Dragon, they have turned down the reservation on the Function Room, as it's not cost effective for them. They would charge £150 with a minimum of 30 peeps.
We'll just have to meet in the Pub, that's all. Should be fun whatever.

Before it leads to any confusion and before I change my Avatar too, I thought I should tell you all that with Stu's kind permission, I've changed my username on WAB to Owl-Light as you see. It's still me, Sheryl. But since I'll be looking for work again from the turn of the year I don't want prospective employers finding all my posts online. Its nice to keep your private life, private. I'll keep my Black Cat Avatar for a while, then change it to one that fits the name better a little later on. |
