I've had an email from the Green Dragon, there's a £8 corkage charge per bottle of wine, that makes the Mead £15 a bottle so I wont be bringing any as I can't afford it  The Function Room hire charge starts @ £50 & rises to £175 depending on the service we require. Shall we just turn up in the bar. And could anyone put up with me for the night as I will be travelling up by public transport?

Hmm, we could just turn up but if its really overcrowded it would be a long way for some to come to then be disappointed.
I'm sure we don't need any kind of service really just a bit of space and seating to ourselves and access to the bar. £50 between all of us wouldn't be too out of the question. If we can confirm at least ten of us for the Moot that would be £5 per person which is do-able for me anyway. I don't mind sending you a cheque for a tenner for Bowdie and I in advance.
Please post opinions on that folks.
Will, I wish I could put you up for the night but we don't have a spare room anymore. It would also be impossible to get you back to ours from the Green Dragon as our tiny Smart Car is a two seater only. Can anyone else help?  |

Last call for those who would like to come to the WAB Winter Solstice Moot, on Friday 22nd December, at The Green Dragon Inn, in the Cotswold hamlet of Cockleford
Please post here today or tomorrow if you are coming, so I can book the Function Room on Monday. As has been said we need at least 10 of you to make it worth while. There will be a £5-£10 charge per person for the hire of the room depending on whether or not we have a buffet.

I'll say provisionally yes as well, and like boddie I'll pay if I have to cancel - I should be okay but the proviso is that I am living within reasonable distance , I am currently applying for jobs including one in scotland so obviously If I wind up way oop north then I wont be coming along.

I see alot of this procedure.
