With all the campaigns asking us to turn off unneeded lights, why oh why ((c) points of view), in your average town centre, has every closed shop lit up like Blackpool Illuminations? Not exactly carbon-neutral.

Let's just have street lighting & see what happens. I think you'll be able to see the stars at night, because most light pollusion comes from shops and offices since street lights, in the main, shine down.

Something for the next election. I wish. Still, who ever gets in, lets hope they put a tax on after-hours lighting.

In many cases I belive this is an insurance issue. It may be that industry you need to lobby against

It would be interesting if the EU brought out a law with regards to after-hours lighting and look at the effect it would have on energy saving, after all, it is an environmental problem. Wearetold tosave energy & yet big business wastes so much
