| | | AOL Customers If you have been with AOL for over a year you are now entitled to a free wireless router.
The adverts imply that this offer is only open to new customers.
However if you have been with AOL for over a year just give customer services a call and they will send you a wireless router free of charge within 5 days.
Cheers

| | | Re: AOL Customers No problem
For a while now I have become annoyed at having to change from home computer to laptop every time I want to check my works emails.
Just tell them that you have seen the adverts, have been with them for more than a year, and are therefore out of contract and you would like the router.

I got an email from the Live Help section to tell me there was a technical hitch and I would have to phone customer service after all, but we go there in the end and it should be here in 3-5 working days.

| | | Re: AOL Customers Maybe your line has not been activated yet, not uncommon to get the hardware before the line's ready - a quick call to AOL should tell you.
Edit (not read the thread correctly), double-check the settings within the router manually and double-check all physical connections.
Then reboot the router and see what happens.
Once you're up and running, you can set the router to hold the 'net connection open - you won't need to load the AOL software then - just use your normal browser. |
