Eco Schools

A few weeks ago a couple of people were talking on here about the Eco Schools Project. Now, I confess, I had never heard of it, but it sounded interesting, so I followed the posted link http://www.eco-schools.org.uk/. On reading about the scheme, I thought that it sounded like a great idea and forwarded the link to my headteacher.

Yesterday, since, he had not replied nor made any comment to me, although we had been in shared meetings on Monday, I asked if he had received my e-mail. He couldn't remember! I told him what I had a sent and told him, briefly, what it was all about. His reply?

"Do we get any money?" My answer: we get a plaque for the school and some free publicity.

"I am interested in wads of used £10 notes, not wild flowers!"

What a sad reflection on the state of education!!
