plenty of these chaps around today, so I thought I would take some at lifesize and some magnified  I have fallen in love with the Canon MP-E65 macro lens but it is really screwing my back up crawling around lol  |

Short answer-Chrysomelidae species (leaf beetle).
May take a while to find the exact species... |

The heavily padded "feet" are the giveaway to leaf beetles. Difficult to say what this is without size or a good view of the wlytra. Some blue chrysomelids are numerous on willow and related trees. |

I'll need to google "wlytra" to see if I have a picture of whatever that is lmao |
