I was reading today about superstitions or old wives tales, here are one or two.
If you go fishing avoid a Fox, hare or an unchurched woman.
It will be a bad winter if sheep gnash their teeth during rounding up in the autumn.
If a bat lands on your head, it wont fly away until it hears thunder.
Always break the shell of an egg completely, or a witch might use it as a boat.
Lying down after sex gives the male sperm a chance to beat the female sperm to the egg.
A toothache can be cured by spitting into a frogs mouth and asking it to carry the pain away.
