| | | Smiling cow I went along one of my favourite places today which is the River Otter. As I walked by in a field I saw a Heron amongst a herd of cows.I tried to get a little closer very carefully but although he wasnt spooked by the cows he was by me.I swear this cow was laughing at me

They're a nuisance I tell you. I was trying to photograph some orchids earlier in the year, a gang of them rushed me and chased me out of the field. I wasn't scared or anything, they just took me by surprise |

I was photographing some plants a couple of years ago while being surrounded by the herd. I happened to put my sunglasses down for a moment to look in the viewfinder, and promply forgot about them. After shooing my way out of the gathered audience, I continued on my way, but a hundred yards away, rememberd I forgot my glasses. I went back only to find them covered in goo after a couple of the cows took an interest in them by mouthing them.....yuk!
Whether they were trying put them on I don't know, but they did seem very cool cows |

Moooooooooooooooooo. | Beryl, I never knew cows could read and I would like to know which newspaper they prefer just in case I am ever brave enough to go within 50ft of them and I'll take their favourite newspaper, it will probably be on a Sunday so they'll have plenty to occupy themselves with the Sunday suppliment as well |
