Hi there Stu

Just a quick messge to say I love your photo of the cottage by the stream in Snowdonia.
I put that on my desktop. What camera did you use? I think though you could have captured the water flow a little nicer though by using a longer shutter speed?

I am in the process of getting myself a digital camera and I'm not sure one can capture these kind of effects as you can with a standard SLR.

The images change around with each login, so can you post the direct link to that pic? And with permission, I'd like to save it, instead of just applying it to the desktop.

I thought it was just a bit of a snapshot really. It was taken with a Canon 10D and a Tamron 28-300 lens, but up in Snowdonia on a day like that you couldn't fail to take a half decent pic even with a Fisher Price kids camera.

I've just bought a Canon Ixus 800 digital compact, and it's a great bit of kit that takes some very nice pics. You could also do worse than getting a Panasonic FZ30, as some of the members are producing some jaw-droppng results with these cameras as well.

Thanks. You know, I wish I was there. Does anyone live in that cottage? Would be a nice place to stay at, soundless nights except for the flow of the stream and a distant sheep.
