Found this chap this morning 
The yellow banding is in line with the body on the main body section and then across the body on the abdomen. Any ideas please? Decided that although I can get close with extn tubes it is time to go for macro work properly so a Canon MP-E65 is on order  |

I think it's a hoverfly Kev, closest in my book is helophilus pendulus. He's rather smart looking whatever he is! |
