| | | BBC Natureboards I've just noticed that the BBC Nature Messageboards have now closed and been amalgamated with other areas of their site.
Looks like another nail in the coffin for British wildlife, which already has a hard enough time as it is, without having the big guns giving it more problems. No doubt the money saved will go on another urban music project, cooking show or house makeover program.
Let's hope they'll realise their mistake and get things back up and running again fairly soon |

| | | Yep, I've been following that too.
I was never a big fan of those boards, but at least they were there! The way they have been organised now, is frankly, a farce! |

| | | I didn't like the way the boards worked, but it seemed to be the natural place for people to go after watching a wildlife program on TV, but then they turned the lights out. |

| | | BBC Boards I read your posting on the new BBC Opinions board and have decided to come over here.
There are other websites and forums availaible, but I find many of them too detailed in one particular subject, e.g. birds.
I like the idea of this website as it caters for wildlife in general.
Thank-you for bringing this to our attention and allowing this opportunity.
The new BBC boards are a complete and utter shambles! I would agree with you all completely.
Thank-you. |

| | Hi Shanik and welcome to the forums.
You'll hopefully find plenty of diversity here, but not so much that your posts will be ranked alongside people wanting to know what gas is used to make the bubbles in the sole of their nikes
Everything to do with wildife throughout all of Great Britain, as simple as that - oh and maybe a bit more to do with the great outdoors in general

| | | You have to admit though that all the users from the old boards are fighting hard to get what we need. You should all come back and join in the fight! |

| | Unfortnuately, it looks as though they're fairly stuck in their ways and not very open to change. The BBC board users are virtually screeming at the mods and yet they've recently been told that virtually nothing will change - but you might get some smilies
It's a shame and I really hope that we'll see the boards back again, but it wouldn't surprise me they stay as they are now for quite some time. |

| | Excellent, they've actually listened to all the complaints and now put in a forum dedicated to wildlife again.
Now if only they could get rid of those DIY makeover programs |
