| | | Feeding Routine Much as I love them I now have more than enough field mice in my garden
Despite following my own advice and removing food before the evening sets in
I now have a vermin problem(previously known as those cute little rascals)
I can see the little shapes darting around the garden taking fallen seed and
pieces of the blackbirds apple as they start cacheing food ready for the colder
weather
Oh well there is always that ferocious bird killing ginger cat I was offered
the other day

| | | Re: Feeding Routine We had a problem a couple of years ago with Mickeys. We have Rabbits and guinea pigs and tortoises that have hutches in a large shed. The food is kept in bins but this particular year we had a boom of mice and each morning when I opened the shed there was a right old rumpus as they all when to ground . We put down humane traps and transported a few to a fieldy area where there is a woods that have owls . It went on for most of the summer then all of a sudden-gone . Not one to be seen . We wondered if they had over bred and picked up some illness that had killed off the population . We occasionally see one or two but that isn't regular . Think mother nature does have it's way of sorting these things and we're glad that she did.

| | | Re: Feeding Routine Hi Nightshade
Can sympathise with you and the problem.
They are cute little animals but can become a real problem.
Wish you all the best sorting it out
Mick
