| | | Replace Image facility - WAB etiquette I've seen the replace image facility in the gallery.
Is it considered good WAB etiquette to replace pics after people have commented on them?
As I get used to Photoshop I feel I can improve on what I initially uploaded, so would like to replace a few...
Thanks,

| | | Re: Replace Image facility - WAB etiquette I don't see a problem with it either Jerry. The only potential problem would be if you use Photoshop to change some aspect of the shot which has actually been commented on. Then the comments won't seem to make sense when they're under the new shot.

Matt | That makes sense, Matt, and fair enough.
If a major change was made, I'd say just resubmit as a new image, perhaps with a reference to the original upload.
If I did replace and image, I'd add a comment that I had and why.

| | | Re: Replace Image facility - WAB etiquette I've done this to alter the image size and to add or remove a border and if I've improved it by adjusting the contrast or brightness but that's all. If it was an entirely different image, it should be re-submitted. |

| | | Re: Replace Image facility - WAB etiquette There is no problem with reprocessing, straightening etc but it must be the same image. Post a comment to say what changes you have made, that will help keep the thread balanced.
If too much of a change is made then it could be removed but thats unlikely.

I agree completely with what you say - minor exposure, brightness, contrast or colour changes or a slight re-crop is fine, but otherwise re-submit.
One for the FAQ?
