| | | anyone familiar with fast frames? I ordered some picture frames from 'fast frames' in July (10th) requested to arrive by the end of the month - no sign of them, no answer to my emails or their phone numbers...... has anyone had any experiance with this company?
Or does anyone know how I should start an official complaint? |

Have you paid yet ? if you havent I advise forgetting them and going elsewhere . If you have your local trading standards is probably a good place to start. http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/ Or you could write to one of those newpaper columns that deal with consumer issues (magret dibden in the guardian for instance)
Btw I make my own picture frames and would be happy to make you a few but I cant do it before the end of the month unfortunately as i am a bit snowed

| | | Re: anyone familiar with fast frames? As far as I know, they are a national company, or rather they offer franchises. There's one here, but I haven't had any dealings with them.
What type of frames did you order Gill? |

| | | Re: anyone familiar with fast frames? I ordered some A2 frames for some posters I recently got developed on photobox (special offer £5.99 each!). Nothing madly special, couple of clip frames and a couple of basic wooden frames.
Thanks for the offer Eeyore hon, you don't have to do that, hopefully they'll arrive sooner or later
and nothing nada, got an order confirmation and a further email confirming the transaction and I've emailed them four times rang the number twice (it just rings and rings and the other number they gave me doesn't exist.....) If they don't answer by the end of the week I think I will have to go to trading standards or something...... |

Incidentally why are you buying frames if you are about to move ? or did I blink and miss your relocation

| | | Re: anyone familiar with fast frames? Sorry to be the bearer of potentially bad news but did a search and they are trading under the business name of Fast Business Limited (see second entry on list below: http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx...&q=fast+frames
Checked this on the Companies House website (all businesses have to be registered with Companies House) and unfortunately they are showing as being in administration: http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/04...4e/compdetails
Would suggest you contact Trading Standards as soon as possible as you may have a fight to get your money back if they are in administration (I had a nightmare just after Alders went under trying to get a refund on a bed which never got delivered).

| | | Re: anyone familiar with fast frames? I also did some research and found the same as olly - like he said contact trading standards asap but for a small order you may decide that the hassle involved in pursuing the debt is not worth the hassle. If you paid via your credit card you may also have some consumer protection insurance via them depending on who you are with.
