Re: google maps

Hi Gill,

Not sure if there's a formal way of doing it, but you could 'CTRL+Print Screen' to copy the image to your PC's clipboard, then paste (CTRL+V) into word or an image editor

It's scary!

Just looked at some of my patches, I reckon some of the images are at least 4-5 years old!

Re: google maps

The Highways people are building an extension to a dual carriageway next to my brother's place down in Cornwall, so I shall tune in every now and then to see if it is progressing and appearing on local.live. So far there is no sign of activity even though the bulldozers have moved on to his land. Just looking at the site from this aerial perspective is quite fascinating though.

Wow, thanks John, I really must cut the grass . i can even see my minlaw circling the house ready to land . On a more serious not though, great addition to the desktop. Thanks . We have some new houses next to us which were built on an old allotment a couple or three years ago, i came home from work one night and my wife was going histerical shouting and waving her arms at the some poor contractors because they were ripping up hedgerows ready to start building, they were only doing there job, a terrible shame it all went though. but it took Jen weeks to calm down bless her. Sorry! yes erm. oh yes. anyway the allotments are still on view so it must be at least three years old. I bet there'll be a few more hits on this tonight. Cheers again John, and of course Gill for the thread.

Geoff

Cheers Geoff. I use it a lot in connection with memory map mapping software and can sometimes identify trees where I have found fungi!

Just glad I could help

John
