Basically i was researching the "new naturalist" series yesterday as i want to start collecting them and somewhere and im sure it was the collins site there was news of the exciting new addition to the famous collins bird guide and the collins tree guide coming in 2007 the collins flower guide ( black hardback with red poppy on front...flower in gold letters) ( the most comprehensive new flower guide from collins that you have all been waiting for is coming 2007) or words to that effect?
But....since i posted this just now i cant find the page about it anywhere but i know i didnt imagine it....im going to keep searching and see if i can post the link?
as i said they have a heap of wild flower guides, field guides, gem series etc....but this is the posh black hardback like the bird and tree one?
Ill keep looking.

Dan | For anyone interested in these books, Amazon usually sell the new NN publications at a 30% discount and you can pre-order before the issue date to claim your copy early... |

| | | Re: Collins Guide You usually get loads of New Naturalists books on e bay. Most of the book sellers at the Birdfair stock plenty as well. They tend to be bit costly though, but you may be lucky if its a rare one you're after. |

| | | Re: Collins Guide I have none so far so im doing well....there is about 100 nn ones and 10 or so specialist species ones....but i have seen copies of older titles go for nearly a grand.
I also saw the complete collection ( mostly 1st editions) of the entire collection right up to the latest release for a cool........£14,000 ! ( yup thats 14 grand not 14 hundred)..
So its going to have to be a life long collection but im an absolute sucker for collecting...i always have to have SOMETHING im collecting...i think i have mild OCD. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
