Ok i have been told off by Boddie ..Apparently i think im funny and im a flirt and have overstepped the mark??
I appologise if anyone feels this...was just trying to have some new boy banter.
But from now on i shall be boring and talk only about nature.

For a moment yesterday i was real happy thinking i had found a rare fun and nice forum.
Then boom.....out come the poo pooers.

But ...im sorry...my post about the blue pamphlet WAS funny dammit

dan, frankly that was a bit out of order - if boddie pm'd you you really shouldn't be divulging the pms in open forum - they are private messages

theres nothing wrong with a bit of flirting, but starting threads specifically in order to sweat someone down is a bit low, at the end of the day we aren't udate.

we all like banter but try to keep it in proportion, i had thought you were going to fit in well, i hope i wasnt wrong... your blue pamphlet was funny - more like that would be more welcome

Judging by the PM's I received I am not the only person that thought things had gone too far. I actually thought I was doing Dan a favour with a discreet PM but his response to that was pretty cheap.

Moderators even found it necessary to modify this thread due to the content having implied obscenities. If you find that amusing you are welcome to it

Dan, as Boddie implied, it’s maybe better to be pulled up now than get too carried away. Believe me, I wish someone had done this when I first joined the forum!

I still get it wrong sometimes even now, but at least I hope the established members know I don’t mean to offend. The way you come across on a forum is often not the way you intended to, so best to try to think before you post.

As has been stated though, the Personal Message system is just that, personal.

Dan, I think you jumped in and started posting without first getting an accurate feel for the sort of site WAB is, or of the personalities of many of the regulars. There's no doubt that many members took exception to several of your posts and, although we appreciate the apology, even this contained offensive language (since removed) and refered to the contents of a private PM. This is inappropriate behaviour for any 'grown-up' web forum but certainly so for WAB which prides itself on being one of the friendliest forums around.

That doesn't mean WAB is a boring site and there is plenty of light hearted banter, but the key is to avoid inappropriate behaviour. If you were not clear what is and isn't inappropriate then you should have stood back for a while and observed, before jumping in with both feet.

Anyway, let's put all this behind us. I look forward to seeing your future contributions on WAB.
