| | Help! Snail Attack! Help! My Giant African Snail Eggs have hatched and I am left with loads of cute babies that are growing up fast. I live in the west midlands area and i am willing to sell them for rock-bottom prices. They are well looked after and healthy. |

| | | Re: Help! Snail Attack! I suggest that you eat them. Following are quotes from other sources:
This species has been nominated as one of the world's 100 worst invasive species! However, they are useful as they are harvested for food.
This species has been introduced by humans all over the world. It breeds rapidly, carries a number of parasites harmful to humans, out-competes native species of snails and reaches such large numbers that other predatory species of snail, such as Euglandina rosea, have been disastrously introduced in some areas to control them |

| | | Re: Help! Snail Attack! hmmmm tricky... There was someone on here a while back looking to own one of these - try a forum search on here perhaps you'll get lucky!!
Presumably this will be a continuous problem though unless you can separate the adults? I'll bet there's pet related forums that cover this sort of thing and can offer better advice on egg control. Try a goodle groups search or something maybe?
Good luck in solving youe dilemma!! Just whatever you do don't release them into the wild and pass such advice on along with any snail you can rehome! |

| | | Re: Help! Snail Attack! Yeah, I tend to eat them most in France (part French). It doesn't seem the same when in a different country.
What area is your mum's house in? I'm mostly acquainted with the West half rather than the East. |

| | | Re: Help! Snail Attack! If you mean Agen, then that's in the Lot et Garonne region near Toulouse like you said but Thouars isn't.
Thouars is further North than that unless there's a tiny hamlet called Thouars that you mean. The town Thouars is in the Poitou-Charente region.
I'm confused? Unless you mean a hamlet called Thouars rather than the big town. |

| | | Re: Help! Snail Attack! Ahh the hamlet thing explains it then. But no, I don't mean Tours...Thouars is a town on Thouet, a tributary of the Loire.
It's nice around there (where her house is)...I bet she has some wonderful holidays. |
