New swearword

Having just spent a couple of weeks in Scotland - Fife and Perthshire - with all the great flora, fauna and scenery it has to offer, can I suggest 'Flatbatteries' as a new swearword!!!

Wink

And isn't it always the case that the best photo opportunity presents itself right after they are flat

In my case that invariably leads to a few more commonly used swearwords

Yep, Fourwings, quite so. First time Blair Castle where there were various examples of British trees, which we need more of on the site (though we are getting some great examples of their fruit, flowers etc.), and the second time was seven eighths of the way up Ben-y-Vrackie. Nevertheless, I felt quite chuffed that I had made it to that height, even without more pics. Maybe next time we'll make it to the top. Then again, I completely forgot my camera yesterday evening, when I realised that I was hosting a Tick - more interested in extricating the blighter, my live and let live humour failing me.

New Swear Word

Reminds me of when I was teaching my Year 10s and a girlat the back was saying effing this and effing that.

I said to her that this wasn't very becoming language for a young lady and, trying to think of an alternative, I scanned the classroom. Why not say something like... erm... filing cabinet. She and her friends thought this was hilarious and spent the rest of the week saying ;'Oh, filing cabinet' whenever anything went wrong. I was quite proud of this; it was totally an accident that my suggested word happened to begin with 'f', but it worked well

One of the ladies at work has a saying to make up for not using the "f" word. When stressed she says "oh for 5 minutes".

Simple but effective.
