| | | Fly I have just watched a fly apparently with its head stuck to my ceiling
legs and body hanging down, I could see no reason, ie no web, although
I looked very closely with a reversed 35mm lense.
When I pushed it gently it flew off leaving a small mark (not like fly blow)
The adhesion point was between its eyes any ideas?

| | Re: Fly Some alternatives
1) Some infected flies often adopt strange body positions in order to disperse spores or make themselves vulnerable to predation.
2) The ptinal suture had not closed up post-eclosion (emergance from pupal stage) and it got stuck by accident as it was still wet ?
3) it was feeding on the glue spot,
4) it was picking up a chemosensory cue
Did you photograph the body position ?
questions questions......
