Re: yahoo email

It could be storms Gill, or it could just be that yahoo is oversubscribed and slowing down - this is one reason why I recently switched by webmail to googlemail.

Re: yahoo email

well myspace is having trouble too due to power failure in LA apparently but wasn't sure if that would affect yahoo too because I don't really know which bits that make up yahoo are where if you know what I mean

and actually I didn't know google did mail..... very interesting......
can you move over all the messages in your existing mailbox too?

Re: yahoo email

I dont know about moving messages off the top of my head but it a good service- you have to be invited to join by an existing member so it is spreading organically but relatively slowly. If you pm me your existing email I can send you an invite so you can check it out for yourself. (course this wont do you much good if your existing one is down unless you have an alternative email of course)

hmmmm It seems I can go straight in to google mail?! I don't know if it is because I am a member of on of the google groups or something - although that rather puts me off a bit because as soon as I joined that group I was swamped in junk mail - 100 items everyday it was awful - thankfully that newsgroup still has my old work email and not my new one - I havn't updated that info and not sure that I'd want to incase I end up with that awful spam problem all over again. Yahoo is usually fine I've had no problems with it at all normally........ that's why it's so odd!

Re: yahoo email

The internet in general has been uber slow tonight. Seems to have been that way since I updated my journal with last nights events on the womanising circuit with Gaffney, Walliams, Beppe, Best and the like.

Purely coincidence surely?

yeah that'll be why - if you are a google member you get it automatically (that was how they kicked it off), the best way to avoid getting swamped is to set up a hotmail use that to register for google then burn the hotmail address. Saying that i've not had a problem since joining google so it might be the groups rather than the mail service which is the problem.

Yeah maybe or I'll leave it as my old employment address - they either haven't closed it down at work yet or the newsgroup hasn't noticed. - I rarely visit anymore because the group is stuffed full of trouble makers with only half a brain......

I also notivce that Dannaan is missing from the list, could it be that he has finally realised he has the charm of a Slime Mould and crawled back under his rock

still it made me laugh when he got blown out

I'd not heard that nightshade but I cant say I'm that concerned, most of my mailings are strictly non comercial and certainly wouldnt yeild them any useful info in anycase - in fact i'm the sort of beligerent so and so who would email deleberately misleading info just to mess them up
