Weather change!

It's clouding over big time here at the mo. Coming in from the sea pushed by a refreshing breeze. Could be boom boom time here tonight maybe! About time we had the rain.

Can't wait! Far too sticky today! Where I work measured 42 degrees, not nice for 12hr shift, I was skinny before, now there is little left of me!

Gonna get any piccies if you get lightening?

Re: Weather change!

We had about 5 minutes of BIG blobs of rain the size of two pence pieces, while the sun shone! Then it was gone and it's like a sauna now. I'm considering sleeping outside on the grass. Blow the gnats! I need sleep! Julie

Re: Weather change!

We have had a few brief claps of thunder this morning .... and a few bits of water falling out of the sky .... I think they call it rain .

Oh, this is so welcome ....

Re: Weather change!

we had about an inch and a half of rain in around two hours!! You can almost hear the grass breathing a sigh of relief!
Big ol thunderstorm too knocked out the power for miles around - even traffic lights and things! I was on the road at the time and a pub I passed even had sand bags in the door and was sweeping the water away as best he could! Torrential doesn't quite cover it!

Re: Weather change!

I tell you something that frightened the socks off me!

I was cycling from town on my bike when it got dark, then suddenly this brilliant flash of lightning and cracking thunder struck and almost made me crash

Then it poured with rain and thundered for ages until i got home 10 minutes later, it was hammering it down and the end result was a bedraggled Fox like me putting my bike away and saying that was cool but dangerous!

Good thing i didnt crash or it could have been worse.
