Don't let your Mrs get a hold of your boat !

Here are a couple of novel uses for old boats !

It doesn't do to let your OH get near any of your boats, she's even got designs on the boat in the background on the top photo !

There used to be a couple of nice boat/planters on traffic roundabouts near Abbingdon?

The boat in the bottomphotograph is a full grown wildlife pond. The boat with the flowers in it was the swimming pool for our ducks up untill a few months ago !

Re: Don't let your Mrs get a hold of your boat !

Nightshade we are lucky in as much as we get loads of bats most evenings. I'm not sure where they roost .
I havent been able to get a close look but we have at least two types . I'm not an expert but we have both 'biggens and littlens.
I've got a bat box to put up but I'm not sure where to locate it .

Re: Don't let your Mrs get a hold of your boat !

Hi Bodger, contact your local bat group, someone will pop around and give you an id (better still join it borrow a detector),you should have some very special bats out your way and if they are roosting nearby or even in your house or outbuildings I will be green with envy
put any thread about bats in the mammal forum

Re: Don't let your Mrs get a hold of your boat !

Just prop your boat up nice and firmly and you are away. It works out far more cheaply than a bought ready made pond !
