The last few days have seen hundreds of blue damselflies skimming the car parks taking mossies and other small flies there are also a proportionate number of dragonflies hunting alongside.Hedgerows are scoured in pursuit of food the result is an almost constant rustle of wings and a shimmer of colour that is quite breath-taking
As I approached a new set of traffic lights I noticed a haze of grey at first I thought it was a new non skid surface but as the gap closed I realised it was a huge gathering of very young Rabbits.They seemed to be waiting for the lights to change! but all eyes were on a post opposite where a pair of buzzards sat eyeing this bounty!
Some early blackberry blossom attracted a flock of butterflies, a small white one with blue grey veining,summer is wonderful but too crammed with things to see
