| | | Just Typical! My husabnd has spent the best part of today in the garden doing various odds and ends. Just a short while ago we noticed a male blackbird watching him and in fact coming down to forage beside him in the earth! He had no problem with either of us getting close to him, in fact I got within two feet of him, calling to him, to which he would respond!
I came back in for my camera (digital) and would you believe it, my battery was dead so I rushed back in, got some soaked dry fruit and my SLR and tried again! I got one shot then my film ran put so I don't even know if I have that ..
He's a friendly little soul though, I think he must be a youngster!
(Oh and we have also confused the sparrows by moving the bird table!)

May, having been caught out in the past I now have 2 rechargeable batteries so that as soon as I unload the card from the camera I put a freshly charged battery in and put the used one on charge. This even if I have only taken a few shots. Never want to be caught with a duff battery again. Also have a second card so if for any reason I cannot clear the card a fresh one goes into the camera ready. wildone

I can switch mine from between 30 seconds to 30minutes with times in between. I have mine set for 5 minutes which gives me time to alter settings then chase the illusive creature I want to get without needing to switch on again. Look at your camera settings, you may be able to do the same.
