| | | Curious - what are these blue barrels for? Just being nosey really, but went for a walk yesterday, and the path took us through a small patch of woodland, where we came across some blue plastic barrels. There were 3, mounted on purpose built legs, and dotted through the trees about 25-30 feet apart. They didn't have any obvious connections (cables, pipework etc) linking them. We wondered if they were perhaps feeding stations for game birds or something. Any suggestions please?

| | | Re: Curious - what are these blue barrels for? I've come across them in several places, and have always assumed that they were for feeding pheasants or other game birds. So I agree with you and Stewy. (I'd be very interested to hear if there's another explanation.) |

| | | Re: Curious - what are these blue barrels for? Certainly pheasant feeders, fill the bin with grain, few slots round the bottom so the pheasants can peck out the grain, big bird feeder. |
