Thank you all so much for the nice comments.

I had a great day, started out very wet but my noon the weather cleared and we had a glorious afternoon around some of or local sites.
We were supposed to be going out for a slap up lunch, but in the end chose to go to a village apple day!! They make some superb apple food products, and you can taste it all, so our slap up lunch came for free!

We also bought some superb local apples, not the usual supermarket rubbish, but REAL apples!!

Great photos Graham, particularly the yawning Greylag - you don't often see the teeth and tongue like that!!
