| | | Spider in your bed This pic is doing the rounds and so I thought I'd add it for anyone who hasn't come across it. The creature in question is a Solifugae and apparently grows to 5 inches, so these are either mutants or it's just the camera foreshortening effect.
Remember to look under your bed when you go camping

Yes a lot of myths around, but 'tis true that they will shave off your hair and burrow into your brain. Once there they can digest it all in a matter of hours and leave the victim unable to move, whereby they will then slowly devour the whole body until all that remains is skin and bones.

| | | Re: Spider in your bed This is definately one of my fave myths. There are two solifuges in that pic, clutching each other. They DO shave your hair to take to their nest to warm it but don't burrow into your brain. Not too venomous, I'd love one. |

Why would you want such a creature!!!!??
Just keep it in an electrified environment!!!!
It WILL NOT shave my hair for it's nest!!
Any sort of venom is not good with me! Anaphylaxis!!!!!!!
