Aren't they supposed to be good for arthritis too!...
Endquote
Years ago my then landlady heard that, and went and knelt in a nettle patch. She was not a happy bunny a few hours later when the nettle stings began to itch. Can't have done her arthritis much good - she never tried it again, as far as I heard.

Do a jug of ordinary Orange Squash or your favourite flavour juice then put them in a lolly mould and leave overnight and the next day you have your own perfect ice lolly!
Also, for dogs and cats, make a plain water one for them, they will love it

| | | Re: Tips to beat the heat.......... I have shovelled 6 ton of mot type 1 today, 31 degrees. It all went round to the back of my customers house as a patio base, I leveled it and put the wacker plate over it. I also finished the digging. I have drunk over 4 1/2 liters of water plus cups of tea, and I have still come home with a headache. Cold shower and a beer or six now plus loads more water.............Jon |

| | | Re: Tips to beat the heat.......... Trouble with any alchohol is the it is dehydrating, the last thing needed in this weather. Plain cold (icy cold) water and lots of it is best. If needs be a little salt to replace that lost can be added.

Hey Presto! Evaporative cooling! Those of a delicate nature should check in a mirror to ensure the wetness does not induce transparency.
At night do the same with a cotton sheet. Wring it out well and curl up in it.
