My wife ran hers in the pouring rain the other month.........don't think you are going to be as lucky today though weather wise but hope you enjoy it anyway.........it's for a great cause. |

Well done WW, I too ran this race a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it (well, actually I walked - but that's another story). Have fun, take your time and take a good litre of water to drink.
When you finish, nothing tastes as good as a pint of Guinness. Enjoy. Hope you raise loads of money.

Thanks everyone. I'm back....I made it! But boy was it hot.There was well over 10,000 walking it.It would have be dangerous to run, especially if you were untrained. It took me 1hour 6 minutes with a stop for trainer laces being undone. There were 4 of us on a team so I'll let you know how much we raised. It was good humoured, just 1 person arrested for road rage cos he couldn't get through Blackheath!!
Now after my much needed shower. it's feet up, a cuppa and WAB! Julie

Well done Julie - heat, exercise and me don't mix, but give me a nice cold day and a long walk and I'm happy. Certainly a good cause and you deserve a bit of 'me' time!
