| | | going to Norwich on the 8th Sept My best friend is moving to Norwich on Tuesday.I am really going to miss her but she has paid for my flight to go up on the 8th so I can set up her computer and her internet for her as she hasn't a clue. I will be staying for a week and hoping to get out and about with the camera as I haven't got anything decent to post at the moment because of the weather and my students and of course helping her with all sorts concerned with the move.Oh and my daughter has been down from Surrey for the school holidays so most photos are of the family
Although they are all wild they are not quite wildlife for posting here
What I would like to know is if anyone can give me any good places to see.Obviously we don't want to travel too far. She will be living in Wicklewood,Wymondham.Any suggestions most welcome. I really need to get some nice photos of wildlife if the weather is nice. I havent been able to get out much and am missing it. |

Wicklewood is a lovely village, only about 15 minutes drive from my house! There's a pub there called The Cherry Tree and it's where I played my first pub gig
Annnyyywaay, in terms of wildlife, there are plenty of places to go, depending on how far you're willing to travel. There is of course the vast Breckland woodland of Thetford Forest which holds many interesting flowers, insects, birds and fungi. You've got Knettishall heath which is closer but tends to be a bit busier. Towards Cley you've got the marshes and places you might find Swallowtail butterflies.
I'll have a think as you've got a few days before you go. I'll try and think of some good places for you

| | | Re: going to Norwich on the 8th Sept Well it seems my friend has already decided where she is going to take me.That's of course if we have time between helping her sort her new place out and me explaining how to work her new sky box and setting up her new sky internet. She is not good with gadgets and the last few days we have been going through the how to's With her making notes that she will probably not understand
Normally she rings me and I hop on my bike and drive to Budleigh if I cannot explain by phone . There are times I need to see her computer to show her LOL
Well to get back on the subject of where to go. It seems we will be going to see the seals at Blakeney Point and hopefully go to Minsmere and as I am a RSPB member I can go for free, yippee (I like free ) |
