I only have to sit on my cosy chair and i am out like a light. I think the word is (Kackered).

That can make you feel horribly tired ( believe me I know) and all you might need is an iron rich diet to give you a lift.

| | | Re: tired Hi Dragonfly -
Just a thought, but do you wear glasses? These days, I find I get tired more quickly as well, but I think it's a combination of eye strain (my job involves a lot of reading) and working under fluorescent lights.
There's some very good advice in the other posts (in particular getting yourself checked by the doctor) but maybe you should think about having an eye test as well?
In any case, I hope you're feeling better soon.

quick trip to the doc and yep iron levels are low - bit of diet advice and some iron supplements and hey presto i'm only routinely tired again ( it is amazing how quickly it gets better once the iron is boosted)
mind you for those who feel that they really know about being tired - they should try living my sisters life - shes thirty this year and since age of 12 has suffered with M.E leaving her with no energy and awful joint and muscular pain - the amazing thing is that she just bears it and gets on with her life .

| | | Re: tired This last couple of weeks I have been very tired tooI put it down to the weather. Before I lost weight I was tired and lacked energy but once I lost the weight and there was sa lot of sunshine I was full of energy and went mad cleaning and out every day.Now the weather is mostly rain and very little sunshine I am stuck in most days and feel tired and in a cant be bothered mood.I do suffer depression so the lack of sun and my outings curtailed is definitely a factor. Also others in the family and neighbours re also complaining of tiredness. Despite the lack of sun the weather is very sticky so this also makes me tired. |

Me personaly ,im 37 years old and cant sleep more than 6 hours a day, so a lie in on weekends is out of the question ,lol, i rarely get tired (maybe after a little wine lol) .

| | | Re: tired HI There,
I blame the stresses of modern life but I must admit the weather is getting me down just now making me feel tired.Nearly two days of constant rain and cold in what is supposed to be summer would get anyone down.Being a gardener Ive been off during this wet spell and went back to bed for a while in the late morning, then in the mid afternoon I felt tired again but instead of lying down I donned my wellies and waterproofs and had a brisk walk with the dogs and splashed through some puddles. I feel better now.

| | | Re: tired With my morning run back on the cards and horses to exercise and dog walking there seems no time for me to start feeling tired..Ive got to keep on the go as much as as can ..with kids off from school and some from Uni there's always running around to be done..But by 10.30 im beat and have to head for bed..then it starts all again around 6.30..I must admit though that the weather seems to have an influence to how i feel and go about my day..the sunshine just seems to make you want to get out there and do something...
