| | | Re: Who do you want as a WABber My choices:
Of the 'new school':
Gordon Buchanan, Simon King, Chris Packham, Ellie and Kate and i also think birder/comic/author Rory Mcgrath would be fun! (or 'Wild thing' Bill Bailey)
Dr Ian Stewart and without a doubt Dr Alice Roberts (corrr)
Of the 'old school':
Mike Tomkies, Aubrey Manning, Oliver Rackham, Francis Rose, Rich Richardson (for the birders) and Richard Mabey.....oh ok Roger Phillips for the shroomers.
Edit: do i mean rich richardson??? whos the famous birder guy that used to hold court at cley i think?

| | | Re: Who do you want as a WABber I have no idea who that charlotte is?
Also...it suprises me how little mention if any that a very famous and likeable and qualified botanist ever gets on WAB? ...i at 35 grew up with him on tv and i met him once when he stopped in his chauffer driven car to ask me directions to our village pond....
The bearded one....David Bellamy.

Actually they were probably filmed in colour but we only had a black & white TV until I was 17 so I can't be sure.
Dave P.
P.s. Got one of his books here too and, provided the publisher got it right, there's another "u" in his name - Jacques Cousteau.
