A "Hello" forum?

Hello, first time visitor here. I have just uploaded some photos into the gallery.

Forgive me if I have overlooked it, but is there a forum where new members could perhaps introduce themselves?

I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor having just looked through some of the pics - especially the red kite.



Fantastic colours and pin sharp focus, not to mention it being a rare sighting and so close that it's almost perched on the end of your lens

We don't really have a designated area of the forum for new members to add an intro etc, but you can use this treehouse section and also include details in your profile as well.

Looking at the great quality of your pics, I take it that photography must be one of your big interests

Many thanks for your comments about the pics.

Well, birds are an interest of mine, especially the red kite. The one taken whilst it was perched in the tree was approx. 30 feet away from my window. The kites are a regular sighting here in the Chilterns, due to the successful reintroduction programme that took place between '89 and '94.

The photos have been taken with a small Olympus 750UZ digital camera. BUT, yesterday I finally got a new lens for my new camera. I am now shooting with a Canon 20D DSLR, and a 100-400 IS Lens, so hopefully I'll be able to improve my pics.

I know next to nothing about photography. But with bird photography it's patience, patience and more patience!

Hopefully I'll be able to upload even better photos in the future (fingers crossed!).
